Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" continues its systematic efforts to support healthcare facilities in frontline communities of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions as part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support".

Over the course of the month, medical supplies (including medications for treating cardiovascular and gastrointestinal diseases, as well as for providing emergency first aid), consumables (syringes, gloves, disinfectants, bandages…), and medical equipment (blood pressure monitors, scales for children and adults, etc.) was donated to 13 healthcare facilities. These include paramedic and midwifery stations, health points, general practice and family medicine clinics, rural outpatient clinics, and others. 

Such small medical facilities in settlements facing complex security situations are perhaps the only places where the local population can receive medical care and access medications. In addition, the communities that received aid have taken in a significant number of internally displaced persons, which has increased the workload on the healthcare system and, consequently, the need for additional support for the relevant infrastructure. Understanding the current situation and the challenges faced daily by civilians near the front lines, the Committee, together with its partners, continues to respond to urgent requests from hospitals and communities. 

The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
