As part of the project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support," the Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya purchased and donated household appliances and kitchen utensils to meet the needs of residents of a collective center for internally displaced persons.

The temporary accommodation facility is based at the Social Services Centre of the Stavne Village Council in Uzhhorod District. To improve the living conditions and daily comfort of IDPs who were forced to leave their homes due to the war and have settled in the village of Zhornava, the Committee’s project coordinators Lesya Levko and Nadiya Danch delivered microwave ovens, electric kettles, an air fryer, sets of tableware and kitchen utensils, and other essential items to the center. The equipment is already being used by the facility’s residents.

Support for the collective centers for internally displaced persons is one of the areas of focus of the aforementioned social project. As a reminder, CAMZ recently donated a charitable shipment containing the requested aid to an IDP shelter in Chernihiv Oblast.

The project "Improving the Protection of Children in Emergencies in Ukraine by Providing Safe Shelters, Food and Non-Food Items, and Psychosocial Support" is being implemented by the Charitable Organization "Charity Fund "Medical Aid Committee in Zakarpattya" with the support of "terre des hommes Deutschland e.V." and funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
